Research & Interest
My main research interests are:
-The effect of virtual embodiment (full body ownership illusions in VR) on social cognition.
-Development and validation of virtual reality applications in clinical psychology.
-The study of neural underpinnings of virtual embodiment.
I am also interested and have carried out research on the following topics:
-Promoting brain plasticity through training such as playing a musical instrument.

In 2012, I started to work in the Institut d'investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer ( under the supervision of Prof. , participating in the Spanish funded project Virtual Embodiment and Robotic Re-Embodiment (. Currently, I am writing my PhD thesis which focuses on studying the effects of virtual embodiment (full body ownership illusion in VR) on social cognition and its potential applications in clinical psychology.
As part of my PhD studies I have also done an internship in the Brain and Emotion Laboratory (Maastricht University, Netherlands), under the supervision of Prof. Beatrice de Gelder.
