Research & Interest
I got my master degree in experimental psychology in 2005 at the Psychology department of “La Sapienza” University of Rome with a thesis about the effects of deprivation of sleep on topographical memory. Afterwards I had a post-lauream training period at I.R.C.C.S Santa Lucia and recently I got my PhD with a thesis on the cognitive and emotional effects on pain perception, working at the Social and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory (Cosan) directed by Prof. S.M.Aglioti. I also did some researches at Neuroscience, Physiology and Pharmachology department at UCL with the supevision of G.D.Iannetti. Currently I am working at the EVENT LAB on the BEAMING Project, supervised by Prof. Maria V. Sanchez-Vives.
My research interest are Nociception and Pain perception, Laser Evoked Potentials, Cognitive and Emotional processing in Virtual Environments, Face perception.
